Before joining Edison Business Advisors as Associate Broker, Ian’s career spanned numerous corporate and entrepreneurial positions in diverse industries, including over 10 years managing and qualifying a business brokerage firm in Southwest Florida. During that time, Ian listed and sold industry-wide businesses, including manufacturers, distributors, retailers, marine fleets, etc., both small and large.

Following graduation from Amherst College, Ian joined Western Title Insurance Company, San Franscisco, CA and managed the Palo Alto office.

Thereafter, Ian joined Mellon Bank in Philadelphia, progressing from credit analysis to commercial lending to restructuring both business loans and real estate assets.  Further banking assignments included holding company positions with MCorp (Houston), First American (DC), and Fleet Financial / Bank of America (New York).

Entrepreneurial ventures included founding and selling Vitamin Corporation of America, Huntington NY.

Ian’s community involvement in Naples includes President of the Collier Citizens Council, Treasurer and Vice Chairman of the Pelican Bay Foundation, and Treasurer and Vice President of Naples Community Church.
