CONFIDENTIALITY

The successful sale of a business requires balancing the complexities of the entire selling process while continuing to operate the “business as usual.”  A key role we play as business intermediaries is to ensure confidentiality. We work to market and promote businesses without the knowledge of employees, customers, suppliers, and others.  All prospective buyers are required to sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) in order to protect the seller's information.  In addition, all buyers must submit acceptable evidence of financial viability and a summary of their applicable experience for businesses priced over $100K.  We also work with sellers to set up an approval process before confidential information is shared.  The approval may include the seller's approval based on geographic proximity, buyer's industry, etc..  Throughout the transaction process, we work to minimize the risk of exposure to all parties involved.  Knowledge of a sale or listing is sensitive and needs to be managed appropriately to deliver a smooth transition process.

The process of selling your business is a challenging experience requiring trust and collaboration.  The team at Edison Business Advisors understands the critical importance of maintaining seller confidentiality throughout the entire transaction process.  We look forward to helping you realize the maximum value for your business.
